I'm wondering what is the best way to setup a brand new Mikrotik RouterOS from a backup script (saved using the /export command).

I found several ways online but none of them seems to me straighforward neither elegant:

1) HTTP or Telnet to the router
- terminal in WebBox doesn't seem to allow pasting
- telnet is really awkward...
- both of the above are unencrypted BTW...

2) Then I need to somehow wipe out all existing configuration.. not sure how.

3) The I need to execute lines from my old backup script (can't really execute the all)

Isn't there a better way? What I would imagine in an ideal world is that I could do just:

ssh admin@mikrotik restore-from-backup < my-backup-script

Is there anything similar to that?
