Currently I have a Node.JS Meteor app that is stored in a git repository, where there is a Heroku github hook that spins up review apps per branch. This is great for developers. But the process takes about 10min with CircleCI checks before and I have people working on design that need faster iteration and are reluctant to having a local development environment.

Is there a way to:

  • Use Heroku Review Apps without the building, so just doing a git fetch on a git hook and the Meteor server handles the update as needed (as in the local development environment)?

  • Or is there any other tool that allows something like "remote development environment service" that works per branch and does quick updates without rebuilds?
