Grupo SM é unha editorial española especializada na publicación de libros de texto e de literatura infantil e xuvenil, cunha importante presenza tamén en Iberoamérica. A empresa matriz, Ediciones SM, foi fundada polos relixiosos marianistas do Estado español na década de 1940. En 1977 constituíuse a Fundación Santa María, que máis tarde pasaría a charmarse Fundación SM, propietaria a partir de ese momento de Ediciones SM. A comezos do século XXI, o grupo presente en nove países: Arxentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, España, México, Perú, Porto Rico e República Dominicana. Conta cun catálogo de máis de 9.000 títulos, en coleccións como El Barco de Vapor e Gran Angular, amais de manuais de ensino e aprendizaxe de idiomas, dicionarios e libros de consulta.
