I am using nginx as a reverse proxy for apache . Now I'm in a situation where I'm passing PHP requests to apache to handle and other static files are being handled by nginx itself . In this situation , the apache htaccess rules only apply to PHP files because only PHP files are being passed to apache . How can apply apache htaccess rules to all the files including those that are not passed to apache ? Regards .

You can’t. You have to write nginx config that would do the same things.
