Worcester (Escoitari/ˈwʊstər/)[1] é unha cidade, e sede de condado do mesmo nome, de Massachusetts, Estados Unidos. O seu nome provén de Worcester, Inglaterra, e segundo o Censo dos Estados Unidos de 2010 a cidade tiña unha poboación de 181.045 habitantes,[2] sendo a segunda maior cidade da rexión de Nova Inglaterra, tras Boston.[3] Worcester atópase a aproximadamente 64 km ao oeste de Boston, a uns 80 km ao leste de Springfield e 64 km ao norte de Providence. Debido á súa localización no Massachusetts Central, Worcester é coñecido como o "Heart of the Commonwealth", e, un corazón é símbolo oficial da cidade. O símbolo do corazón podería provir tamén das tarxetas do día de San Valentín, que aínda que non se inventaran na cidade, foron producidas en serie e popularizadas por Esther Howland quen viviu en Worcester.
