I'm not sure about all the vocabulary or concepts involved so my search for the solution to problem may be incomplete, sorry if it's a duplicate.
I have a website hosted on server, and I'm trying to take the code of this website (a symfony 3 app) to a Docker image for different reasons.
Currently on the host server the Apache configuration manages the redirection of the URL to the right folder, reading app.php instead of index.php, increase the file size of uploaded files, cache length and maintain nice urls (server.com/appname/
, server.com/appname/new
etc.).
So I'm trying to reproduce the same behaviour now in 2 different Apache config (host + docker). This, without hard coding the URL in the docker image. In an ideal world I would like to be able to have: server1.com/app/
and server2.com/other/path/app/
to redirect to my document root (the app entry point), so that server1.com/app/new
and server2.com/other/path/app/new
works and that these are the URLs displayed in the browser (not server1.com:8080/...
).
Thank you in advance if you direct me towards the relevant resources
