O Star Tribune é o meirande xornal de Minnesota. Naceu como Minneapolis Tribune en 1867 e competindo con Minneapolis Daily Star en 1920. Ó longo da década de 1930 e 1940 os principais xornais de Minneapolis estaban asentados, co Tribune publicando pola mañá e o Star no serán. Fusionáronse en 1982, creando o Star Tribune. Despois dun treboento período no que o xornal foi vendido e revendido até 2009, foi mercado polo home de negocios Glen Taylor no ano 2014.


O Star Tribune distribúese en Minneapolis e a través da área metropolitana Minneapolis–Saint Paul, no estado de Minnesota e no Upper Midwest. Contén unha mestura de novas nacionais, internacionais e locais, así como deportivas, de negocios e contido sobre estilo de vida. Os xornalistas de Star Tribune e os seus predecesores gañaron seis Premios Pulitzer, incluíndo dous en 2013. A sede do xornal atópase en downtown Minneapolis.
