You probably need to set your documentroot in your Virtual Host config. The config files are usually located in the directory /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/
(this might be a different location, depending on your linux distribution).
In the config files, you can add or change the config of the VirtualHosts. What you're looking for is a line that starts with DocumentRoot
and change that to /srv/www/places/httpdocs/
. Do mind the slash at the end of that line.
An example config would be:
<VirtualHost *>
ServerAdmin webmaster@example.com
ServerName www.example.com
ServerAlias example.com
# Indexes + Directory Root.
DirectoryIndex index.html
DocumentRoot /srv/www/places/httpdocs/
# Logfiles
ErrorLog /home/www/www.example.com/logs/error.log
CustomLog /home/www/www.example.com/logs/access.log combined
</VirtualHost>
Hope this helps.
If my solution worked, you can thank me by accepting my answer :)
