We have created a grafana dashboard which is configured for Elasticsearch resource monitoring and we are using python script to fetch resource information from ES and put it in to Graphite.
We are getting graph perfectly but some aggregation method doubts.
By default values saving to carbon aggregation method is set to "average".
When we check past 1 month graph , it shows average values. Is it the right method to monitor ES with graphite, grafana? or we need to put "max" instead "average" ?
i am not an advanced user when it comes with Elasticsearch and Graphite, but most of the github coders are using "average" aggregation method to store values in carbon.
Please give a suggestion, which method is good for ES monitoring using Graphite & grafana ?
Regards.
