I am currently deploying a few separate environments into Azure (Dev, Stage, Test, etc.). Some of these will need to be restored to their original state later down the line, for example, test may need to be restored to its original format so we have a blank slate to work from. Upon deployment of a new environment, backups are made in Azure of each of the machines in that environment. My question is this...
First, if I were to restore to VM all of the servers in an environment (including DC's), would that cause any major issues? Restoring DC's in a normal environment is bad mojo so I'm wondering how this would work in Azure or if it would be seamless.
Second, is there a function within Azure to say "Restore Resource Group" to a specific date? Conceptually, like restoring an entire lab at one time to bring it back to its state as of a specific date/backup date. If so, how would I enable it?
I'm certain there's something that will make this work, Microsoft must have thought about lab type environments. Thank you in advance!
