Graffiti en Londres.


Segundo Tristan Manco, Banksy "naceu en 1974 e criouse en Bristol, Inglaterra. Fillo dun técnico de fotocopiadoras, empezou de carniceiro pero empezou a grafitear durante o boom que tivo esta actividade na súa cidade a final dos anos 80s"[1].


As súas creacións apareceron en cidades de todo o mundo. Iniciou a súa carreira no ambiente cultural que se creou no metro de Bristol e no que colaboraron tamén artistas e músicos.


Banksy non vende fotos das súas creacións nas rúas. Sábese de casas de poxas que tentaron vender as súas creacións no mesmo sitio onde foron feitas, sen importarlle a maneira como o gañador da poxa retiraría logo a obra adquirida.


A obra "'The Flower Chucker" foi incluída na longametraxe The Age of Stupid como mostra representativa de toda a arte moderna almacenada para despois do final do mundo tal e como o coñecemos.


Exit Through The Gift Shop, a súa primeira película, debutou no Festival de Sundance de 2010 e foi estreada no Reino Unido o 5 de marzo.
