Universal Studios Inc. (tamén coñecido como Universal Pictures), é un estudio de cine estadounidense propiedade de Comcast a través da subsidiaria NBCUniversal,[1] e é unha dos grandes estudios de Hollywood. A sede atópase en 100 Universal City Plaza Drive de Universal City, California. As oficianas corporativas e de distribución están na cidade de Nova York. Universal Studios é membro de Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).
Universal foi fundada en 1912 por Carl Laemmle, Mark Dintenfass, Charles O. Baumann, Adam Kessel, Pat Powers, William Swanson, David Horsley e Jules Brulatour. É o terceiro estudio de cine máis antigo do mundo, por detrás dos franceses Gaumont Film Company e Pathé. Tres dos filmes de Universal Studios, Tiburón (1975), E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) e Parque Xurásico (1993) (todos eles dirixidos por Steven Spielberg) conseguiron récords de recadación, converténdose cada un deles no filme con maior recadación do seu tempo.
