Toronto Star é un xornal canadense en formato standard diario. É o xornal de maior circulación do Canadá en circulación semanal; aínda que sexa o segundo despois do The Globe and Mail en circulación diaria en días de semana e os sábados, el supera o Globe en circulación semanal porque publica unha edición de domingo, mentres o outro non.[1] A Toronto Star Newspapers Ltd., unha división da Star Medea Group, unha subsidiaria da Torstar Corporation, é quen controla a publicación.[2]


O The Star (orixinalmente coñecida como Evening Star e despois, como Daily Star Toronto) foi creado en 1892, batendo o Toronto News en circulación e lectores. Era entón liderado polo futuro prefecto de Toronto e reformador social Horatio Clarence Hocken, que se converteu no fundador do xornal, xuntamente con outro futuro prefecto, Jimmy Simpson.
