Formula Satu musim 1971 adalah musim ke-22 Grand Prix Formula Satu, yang dimulai pada tanggal 6 Maret 1971, dan berakhir pada 3 Oktober setelah sebelas balapan diperlombakan


Setelah kematian Jochen Rindt tahun sebelumnya, Lotus memiliki musim yang acak-acakan, dengan pembalap muda dan tidak berpengalaman seperti Emerson Fittipaldi muncul di mobil. Tim menghabiskan banyak waktu bereksperimen dengan mobil bertenaga turbin gas, dan dengan empat roda lagi. Menggunakan chassis mereka sendiri sangat terinspirasi oleh MS80 Matra tetapi dengan tank konvensional, Tyrrell dan Jackie Stewart mudah mengambil keberhasilan pada tahun 1971.


Jo Siffert dan Pedro Rodríguez kehilangan nyawa mereka di musim tahun 1971 ini.


Grand Prix Belgia awalnya seharusnya diadakan pada tanggal 6 Juni (antara Monaco dan Grand Prix Belanda), di sirkuit sepanjang 14,1km Spa-Francorchamps, tetapi kegagalan pemilik sirkuit dan otoritas untuk memperbaiki Spa dengan spesifikasi keselamatan wajib membuat sirkuit itu dianggap tidak cocok untuk Formula Satu dan balapan pun akhirnya dibatalkan.
