I've been using Synology Disk Station Manager for several years now (DS214 and DS218+), and just recently started working with an embedded DDSM (Docker DSM). One thing that I have not yet been able to figure out (or even find documentation on) is how to create a shared folder that is accessible (read & write) from either side of the DSM/DDSM relationship. Is this possible?

The DDSM's shared folder on my NAS is read-only when accessing it from my DSM, but obviously not read-only when I log into the DDSM container itself. My Linux-fu is weak, but would an chmod command be able to unlock the read-only folder at the host level?

Alternatively, is there a way to create a shared folder that is accessible by both without having to perform a u-turn at the network interface?

Synology shared folder for DDSM is read-only on host.
