Maramureș (húngaro: Máramaros, latín: Marmatia, ucraíno: Мармарощина / Marmaróshchina) é unha rexión histórica localizada no norte de Romanía. A capital da rexión chámase Baia Mare. Outras cidades importantes son Satu Mare e Vişeu de Sus.


Maramureș foi antigamente habitada polos dacios, que construíron fortalezas como as de Oncești, Slatina e Călinești, logo foi unha parte do comitatus (condado) Máramaros do Reino de Hungría, co rei húngaro asegurando aos romaneses o dereito de teren un voivoda romanés, quen xulgaba aos seus súbditos segundo a lei romanesa (valaca), até 1383.


Transilvania converteuse nun principado autónomo, despois da Batalla de Mohács, gañada polo Imperio otomán fronte aos húngaros. Na parte sur da rexión histórica de Maramureș pasou ao reino de Romanía despois da primeira guerra mundial, co Tratado de Trianon. A parte setentrional pasou a Ucraína despois da caída da Unión Soviética en 1991.
