I keep getting 404 requests from specific IPs that are clearly just sniffing for weaknesses. I would like to be able to block any IP (for 12 hours or so) that has 10 or more 404 fails in a 5 minute span or so. (I can tighten up the rules/times but this is just a general question). The site sits behind Cloudflare (DigitalOcean Ubuntu VM). Is there anyway to automatically set rules to temporarily ban these IPs? (Or other identifiers such as a unique user agent which some of these crawlers have).
